Moving into Chapter 3 of Chasing Daylight: UNCERTAINTY- KNOW YOU DON’T KNOW

EXCERPT:
“You would think that what we need is certainty, the promise that everything is going to be all right, the guarantee that we’ll be safe. While I, like anyone else, would love to know that is the life that God would choose to give to my family and me, the security that we often seek is not necessary to living life to the fullest... The Jonathan factor is expressed when we have absolute confidence in God in the midst of uncertainty and are willing to move with God even without a guarantee of personal success.” Daylight pg. 66

REFLECTION:
It’s a hard truth but I always seem to grow more under pressure, during tough times and through failure! God cares more about the refinement of our character than my comfort which I am ultimately grateful for yet may struggle with in those moments when He feels failure may sometimes be the best thing for me. My father in law Paul always says... “It hurts so good!”

Many of you are facing the giants in this very present time... Know that God is in the midst of the fire wanting to use your battles to refine you, to grow you, to prepare you for greater things. We are called to consider our trials a joy as crazy as that may sound...
 
James 1:2-4: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

CHALLENGE:
DON’T WASTE YOUR TRIALS, they are opportunities for maturity! The enemy loves us suffering alone in silence so our trials come and go having no positive effect on us or the Kingdom  God created us to need each other and more so when going through trials...
I challenge you to find one or two people and share a current trial you are facing.  Break the silent suffering and ask them to walk it through with you. Even just exposing your need is huge step in the right direction!

PRAYER:
God be close to us right now, make Yourself obvious in our lives as we walk through our trials. Assure us of your love, assure us that ultimately no matter what happens, it’s out of your goodness that you respond. Amen.
